It seems like Koleman has gone from a baby to a toddler this last month! It's hard enough for me to say "he's 1" let alone have him acting like it!
Some things that are going on in Koleman's life right now..
-walking everywhere!
-he is hating that he has to wear shoes now! he really struggled walking in them the first day or two but now he is getting better!
-new words this month "baw" (ball) and "cow"! He is loving "uh oh" and says it whenever he falls or if he drops something on accident or on purpose!
-really likes his sippy cup finally! He would drink out of it before, but only a tiny bit and we would have to hold it usually, but I gave him some pedialite in it and now he loves it with water or juice. No milk in the sippy though he still has to have his bottle!
-loving "real people" food! Some of his favorites are French Toast, Baked or Mashed Potatoes, Crackers, Cheese, Ham and Bananas
-he can get off of the couch and our bed all by himself. It's hilarious when he is on the bed he starts in the middle and scoots backwards until he eventually ends up on the ground!
-loves to play with wallets I need to get him his own personal wallet so he'll leave ours alone
-licks his thumb off and says "num, num" whenever he eats something sweet! Which by the way he has a BIG old sweet tooth, just like his mama
-speaking of teeth he has 2! YAY!! He got his first one on Feb. 27 and it was the tooth right next to his front right tooth, 2 days later he got the tooth right next to his front left tooth! my child couldn't be normal and get his two bottom teeth first, we had to change it up a little. He's been a champ and handled the teeth coming in really well. He's working on his the two front top ones, and the two front bottom ones right now!
-I FINALLY lay him down while he is still awake for naps and night time! He curls up on his belly with his knees underneath him! I gotta get a picture, it is SO cute! He cried for about 1 minute the first time I did this but hasn't made a peep sense.
-OBSESSED with cows! He got a toy for his birthday that says "what animal makes the sound moo" he'll point to his cow balloon. When someone says the word cow he points to his cow balloon and says "moo". When someone says "moo" and we aren't by his cow balloon he says "cow, cow"
-We wash his hands after every meal and diaper change. He sticks his little chubby hands under the faucet and rubs them together!
-Jabbers NONSTOP and whispers super fast when he's concentrating on something
-drug his vacuum around with him everywhere the first few days he had it, now the newness has wore off but it's still one of his favorite toys
-blows bubbles with his spit by putting his lips together and opening them really slow. he does this over and over!
-thinks he is hilarious! He was eating a cracker the other day while he was sitting on my lap and it was like a light came on and he decided to spit it all over me! He laughed for like 5 minutes after he did it. I couldn't get mad at him because I thought it was quite funny myself.
-gives you a HIGH FIVE when you ask for one!
-Pro at putting the shapes in the right place in his shape cookie jar!
-loves attention, and we are always happy to give it to him!!
