18 Months

 

Fun things about Koleman at 18 months!

Koleman has become such a smartie the last little while. I'm sure every kid goes through the stage where all of a sudden they figure everything out, start talking like crazy, and just grow up over night but it has been so much fun to watch K really transform into a little person!!

I was bored one day so decided to write down all the words Koleman knows and he has about a 50 word vocabulary! He has recently added Truck, Tractor, Koleman, See ya Later, Where'd it go (this is the cutest) , Maci, I Love You (he has said this for a while but it just recently is really clear), Cute, Grape, Blocks, outside, careful, lets go and upstairs.

I don't know if this is a good thing, but we have disney channel on most every morning and he has learned to really "communicate" with his shows! He has a new love for Little Einsteins and says "pat, pat, pat .. Blast off" While doing the actions, or "pat, clap, pat, clap" when it comes on.

When he see's anything with Mickey Mouse on it he yells "hot dog"

and he loves Chuggington and says "choo choo" when it comes on.

Pat pat pat.. 

...Blast off!!

He knows what the dog, cow, horse, pig, monkey, snake, bears/lions/deer chicken and coyote say! He thinks the deer growls but who knows what they really say.

Funny story about animal sounds, anything with feathers he "bocks" at.  We had just picked up Nicole and Koleman started bocking when she got in the car, so we are looking around for a bird and couldn't see one, but K kept bocking and pointing at Nicole. haha We drove on and Nicole reached up to touch her ear and realized she had on earrings with feathers on them! It was pretty hilarious!

He watches Baby Einstein "First Signs" when we drive in the car. He has learned how to sign and say EAT , DRINK, and BABY. He started saying/doing these and I had no clue where they came from because I haven't signed with him at all. Thanks Baby Einstein for educating my child! It has also taught him a bunch of words, that he doesn't do the signs with.

We were shopping with my mom the other day and he was a little turd in one store so when we got to the other one my mom was getting K out and said to him "you have to be reverent while we are in the store, be a good boy" so he puts his finger up to his mouth and says "shhhh" haha! Smart Alec! 

He lays on the floor to read his books!! He pays way to close attention to everything his daddy does!

He points to pictures of Jesus and says "esus"

When someone coughs or sneezes he says "bess ew"

he tells me its "hot, hot" when we go outside, he sees a fire or steam, or anytime he touches something warm.  he tells me "brrr" when we get something cold to drink, he has ice, or we open the freezer.

He sings along with the congregation at the top of his lungs (this is when I notice it the most, but he sings along with the radio,tv, or whenever else he hears music)

He has some MAD dance skills! He is insane and hops and twirls around!

He Loves any kind of fruit! He makes the cutest little face when he eats grapes, I just love it!

Whenever he pets anykind of animal real or fake he says "nice, nice" haha His zhu zhu pets have thrown him off and we have kind of had to teach him that furry things are nice!

He plays peek a boo with me when we go on walks. He peeks around the stroller and says "eek a oo"

His favorite toys are still his trucks and tractors! He plays with them all day long and they go EVERYWHERE with us! He has to take them upstairs with him, he was getting overly confident and fell down a couple stairs. When I came around the corner he was going face first down the stairs one hand was holding on to the rail the other on to his truck for dear life! 

When I was little I used to be so jealous because my brother could make the best truck sound, and now Koleman makes the same vruuumm sound I love it!

He literally passed out mid playing with his trucks! This was one of those "precious moments"!!

Koleman is really shy when he first meets someone but really outgoing to people he knows well. He doesn't talk much when there is a big crowd of people he doesn't know, and still really doesn't like hanging out with kids his own age, he likes them to be older. We always get comments on his white, long hair, or his blue eyes. He likes to flirt with the ladies and gets them when he waves to them saying HIII then blows a big kiss their way. His favorite people are his Dada, Mama, Papa, and Bama. He craves attention and we love to give it to him! He keeps us on our toes and can drive us absolutely crazy, but makes up for it by being a sweetie pie!

Everytime we get a kiss it is followed by a "I love You" that in itself has made every second of pregnancy, labor/delivery, and raising this little boy worth it!

We had a little 18 month photo shoot while we were at the ranch camping! They aren't the greatest because I didn't have my trusty Photographer with me. I'm going to have Nicole do some better editing on them so I'll have to post some more after she does that! But for now you can enjoy these, the subject is still cute as Ever!
